What I offer
At Bens Youth Coaching, I know every aspiring young footballer is different. I offer training to players of all abilities, from kids with little to no experience who are just coming into the world of football, to those already in and around academy environments.

What seperates myself from the rest, is my first hand experience in academy football. With 10 plus years of training, in three different premier league category 1 and 2 academy’s, I have been exposed to some of the best coaching there is to offer. Furthermore, I have been able come out of the academy system and into a professional career. I am eager to help young footballers today do the same.

1 to 1 coaching
With all of my coaching, a firm belief of mine is that at a young age players should be focusing on developing the fundamental basics, which is why I focus heavily on ball mastery and technical refinement. I believe this has a large impact on a players performance as they get older.

With my 1 to 1 sessions, consistency is key as it helps to build a relationship with the player, helping me to understand what specific drills they need to improve. Detail and feedback is something a 1 to 1 provides to a great extent.

Every 1 to 1 session is tailored to each specific player, meaning they are given the personalised touch they need, working on weaknesses they may need to improve, whilst also building on their strengths.

Group sessions
Similarly to the 1 to 1 coaching, I will still focus on developing players technical ability. With group sessions ,players are given a competitive edge during training, whilst still getting high level detail and feedback from myself
​
As is important with any type of coaching, I pride myself in the ability to adapt to different levels of ability, I aim to develop every player as much as I possibly can.

Meet the Coach
Playing career
I am currently a full time professional footballer with aldershot in the national league. My journey started when I was 7, I was picked up and signed by now premier league side Brentford from my local Sunday league team. I was there up until 12, when the academy was unfortunately closed down. From here I earned myself a trail with Watford football club, which was successful and saw me signed to the academy for 4 seasons. At 16, the club did not offer me a scholarship and I found myself again, without a team. The next part of my journey, would see me at premier league side brighton & hove Albion, where I signed a two year scholarship after trialing with the club, shortly after being released. I went on to spend six years there, 4 of those as a professional.

In that time I was fortunate enough to feature in premier league and Europa league matchday squads, before going on loan in the Scottish championship, where I got my first real experience in first team football.

Without the help of the private coaching I was fortunate enough to have outside of my clubs growing up, I can't say for sure I would have stayed in the academy system for as long as I did. The type of coaching I had is the same as I am offering today. It gives players the extra attention to detail, they may not get in a club and increases their chances of achieving a footballing career. I can help players work on weaknesses and develop technical excellence.

During my time with Brighton I took place in several coaching roles within the community, doing this I gained my UEFA C badge and several other coaching qualifications which has given me a key understanding into coaching young footballers.
